Current lab members
Lluís Coll is a forest ecologist at CTFC-CEMFOR and associate member of CREAF. His reserach interests focus on the analysis of the main factors driving forest dynamics and in particular the capacity of forests to respond to environmental changes. In these areas he is conducting studies at various scales (from the landscape to the species level) that combine a number of techniques including the use of forest dynamics models.
Martina Sánchez-Pinillos is a PhD student (‘Contrato Predoctoral para la Formación de Doctores’, MINECO) at CTFC under supervision of Lluís Coll and Aitor Ameztegui. Her research aims at studying the resilience and resistance of forest systems to natural disturbances. She is focused on assessing the importance of stand composition and structure in post-disturbance dynamics.

Aitor Ameztegui is a 'Juan de la Cierva' research fellow at CREAF and CTFC. His research focuses on assessing the mid-term regeneration dynamics after disturbance events. He is also interested on the interaction between forest management and climate change. Aitor is mad about science outreach, so he has a blog (Forestalia) and spends too much time on twitter.

Former lab members
Jose Ramón González-Olabarria is a researcher ( Ramon y Cajal Fellow) in CTFC. His research focuses in the study of the risk of fire and its inclusion into forest management planning. For that, he is developing models to assess the susceptibility of different types of forests to fire.
Angela Blazquez worked at FiDBosc as a research assistant between 2013 and 2015. Currently, she is doing her PhD at FöraForest technologies, where she is focused on the use of remote sensing tools for assessing post-disturbance resilience and forest dynamics.

Santiago Martín Alcón is a former PhD student (2015), who is interested in the main factors driving the natural dynamics of tree species diversification in Mediterranean pinewoods and the consequences of such processes with regards to forest resilience to forest fires. He is now a postdoc fellow at Agresta
